Do You Eat Enough Fruit And Vegetables?

If you are like most people, you don't. Yet, getting 8 to 10 servings daily is easier than you may think. Here are several suggestions for adding more fruits and vegetables into your day:
  • Have a glass of 100 percent fruit or vegetable juice for breakfast.
  • Top your morning cereal with blueberries, raspberries or a sliced banana
  • Eat a small salad with your lunch or dinner
  • Add tomatoes, sprouts or greens to your sandwich
  • Have a bowl of vegetable soup
  • Snack on a piece of fruit or raw vegetables
  • Add vegetables to your casseroles
  • Top your baked potato with cooked broccoli, cauliflower and carrots
  • Substitute spinach, summer squash or eggplant for meat with your pasta
  • Have berries with your yogurt or use them as topping on desserts.
